Common questions

How do I play Snakes & Ladders? Everyone starts on tile 1. On your turn, roll the die and move that many tiles. Land at the bottom of a ladder and you climb up; land on a snake's head and you slide down to its tail. The first player to reach tile 100 wins the board.

What are the special tiles? Some boards have extra tiles: stars give bonus points, card tiles give you a power card, boost tiles help you forward, slip and lava tiles are ones to watch out for, and portals whisk you to their matching portal somewhere else on the board.

What are power cards? Power cards are little helpers you collect during a game. Play one on your turn for a helpful boost. Each card can be used once.

What are the mini-games? Now and then a quick mini-game pops up. Do well and you earn a bonus for the board. Mini-games are short and anyone can have a go, even the youngest players.

How does pass-and-play work? Friends and family can play together on one phone or tablet. Pick a character for each player, then pass the device to whoever's turn it is. No accounts or internet connection are needed to play together.

Can I play on my own? Yes. Friendly bots can fill any empty seats. In adventure mode each board has its own bot level, from easy to clever, so the challenge grows as you go.

How are stars and Party Points worked out? Winning a board earns 1 to 3 stars and a score. Your Party Points are your best scores on every board added together.

Where is my progress saved? On your device, and backed up to our server under an anonymous player ID so it isn't lost. No sign-in is needed.

Can I change my nickname? Yes. You can ask the game for a new random nickname. Nicknames are picked from a list of friendly words so everyone stays safe.

How do I delete my data? Email us your nickname and device type (iPhone/iPad, Android or web) and we'll delete your progress and scores.

Are there ads or in-app purchases? No ads, no in-app purchases and no tracking.
